How Does CoolSculpting Work?

CoolSculpting uses a controlled cooling process called cryolipolysis to target, freeze, and destroy fat cells, including stubborn fat that’s resistant to diet and exercise. The dead fat cells are naturally metabolized and flushed away, leaving you with smoother, firmer body contours. The surrounding nerves, muscles, and skin remain unaffected.

During CoolSclupting treatment, we use a device with cooling plates to target bulging fat areas. While the treatment is usually well-tolerated and takes under an hour, patients typically experience a quick but intense cold sensation before the treatment area numbs. CoolSculpting requires no downtime, so you can immediately return to your regular routine.

Treatment is particularly beneficial for achieving fat reduction in the following areas:

CoolSculpting chin: Addresses submental fat that gives the appearance of a double chin.

CoolSculpting arms:  Eliminates unwanted fat on the upper arms and is an appealing non surgical alternative to brachioplasty.

CoolSculpting love handles: Slims your silhouette by reducing the appearance of unsightly flank fat, often called love handles, a spare tire, or a muffin top.

CoolSclupting is also commonly used to treat stubborn fat pockets on the abdomen (belly pooch), back (bra fat), thighs (saddlebags), and buttocks (banana rolls).

What Does EMSCULPT NEO Do?

Like CoolSculpting, EMSCULPT effectively targets and eliminates frustrating areas of fat that resist diet and exercise. However, it combines radiofrequency (RF) energy with high-intensity electromagnetic technology (HIFEM) to trigger rapid muscle contractions. This multi-faceted approach helps you simultaneously burn stubborn fat and build muscle.

During treatment, we induce intense muscle contraction activity beyond what you can accomplish during a regular workout. This approach strengthens and tones the muscles while burning fat. Treatment isn’t considered painful, but you may experience a sensation that feels similar to a hot stone massage. After treatment, many patients feel sore, like you might feel after an intense workout.

EMSCULPT targets the following areas of the body:

EMSCULPT butt: Like a Brazilian butt lift, an EMSCULPT butt lift helps you enhance and lift your buttocks—but without surgery.

EMSCULPT arms: Eliminates upper arm flab, revealing taut and toned arm muscles.

EMSCULPT abs: Reduces belly “bulge” and puts you on a quicker path toward achieving six-pack abs.

EMSCULPT lower body: Multiple applicators target, tone, and firm your thighs and calves.

EMSCULPT vs. CoolSculpting Cost

The cost for each procedure varies widely depending on the treatment area and number of sessions needed. However, CoolSculpting may be less expensive than EMSCULPT because it typically requires fewer sessions. During your personalized consultation, our team will assess your specific needs and goals, recommend a customized treatment plan, and provide a detailed price quote.

EMSCULPT NEO vs. CoolSculpting Results

Both procedures produce gradual, long-lasting results. CoolSculpting results generally take 2 to 3 months to emerge as dead fat cells are flushed away. EMSCULPT results are noticeable soon after treatment, with full results visible about 3 months after your final treatment. You usually need a series of 4 sessions scheduled 5 to 10 days apart to achieve your desired results. Maintenance treatments can help you preserve your sculpted physique.

Can I Benefit by Combining Treatments?

Keep in mind that we always customize your treatment plan to help you achieve your unique goals. While CoolSculpting and EMSCULPT each offer key stand-alone benefits, combining treatments can take your body and confidence to the next level!

If your primary concern is addressing specific areas of stubborn fat, then CoolSculpting alone may be right for you. If you want to reduce fat and build muscle tone, EMSCULPT may be the better choice. However, if you want comprehensive body contouring benefits that address both muscle tone and fat reduction, combining CoolSculpting with EMSCULPT can produce game-changing results.
