Meet Dr. Olson Meet Dr. MarksRenuvion is a minimally invasive treatment that firms and tightens the skin using a combination of radiofrequency (RF) energy and helium released just below the surface. This focused energy causes immediate contraction within the skin and boosts collagen production for continued firming over the following 6 to 9 months.

Because the Renuvion procedure provides natural skin tightening by increasing the skin’s collagen production, it may be used as a nonsurgical alternative to procedures such as facelift and neck lift surgery and tummy tucks for patients with mild to moderate laxity. Depending on your personal preference and areas being treated, your Renuvion procedure may be performed while you are under general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation. Treatments typically take 30 to 45 minutes to complete. Dr. Olson or Dr. Marks inserts the Renuvion probe under the skin through tiny, strategically placed incisions. As they move the probe beneath the skin, RF energy and helium plasma are released to safely heat the tissues.
After a friend or family member drives you home, plan to rest for the remainder of the day. For optimal results, it’s essential to follow your aftercare instructions closely.
Most patients are able to resume normal activities 2 to 5 days after having Renuvion, depending on the location and extent of their treatment. Expect mild swelling and bruising in treated areas for 1 to 2 weeks. Discomfort is typically minimal and usually controlled with over-the-counter medication such as ibuprofen. It is important to wear a compression garment as directed (usually about 72 hours) to minimize swelling and optimize results.
While it can take 6 to 9 months to reach final results, most patients need only a single treatment.
